If driving to By Appointment there is a public pay and display car park located in Colegate.  There is parking for residents which is through a very narrow arch way, so please be careful that you do not scratch your car.

If you are coming by train do not be surprised if the taxi driver takes you on an elongated journey around Norwich as Norwich City Council in their wisdom have constructed a serious of one way systems around Norwich!  The taxi charge should be just over £5.00.  Although By Appointment is only a 10 minute walk from the Railway Station it is all uphill!!

If you arrive at Norwich Bus Station we again just a 10 minute walk from the bus station, but this time downhill!!

Please note that from 2008 St George's Street will be permanently closed to traffic

Even the entrance to By Appointment is a bit quirky!!!

Entry into By Appointment is from the rear of the house (off Colegate, through an arch next to the Merchants Public House) through the courtyard, then enter into By Appointment's courtyard garden and then through the kitchen door into the kitchen. 

Once inside By Appointment it is a bit quirky!!!

There is a disabled toilet located on the ground floor and access to the ground floor of the restaurant can be gained through the front of house; however before making your booking it is important to realise that By Appointment is housed in three 15th century Merchants houses and consists of narrow staircases, and lots of changes of floor levels.  Please let us know  if you have any special requirements.
