With By Appointment being found in three Fifteenth century houses, it has the luxury of an abundance of built in character.  The restaurant at By Appointment is accommodated in four different dining rooms and is therefore able to offer a warm and intimate atmosphere. 

The first of the dining rooms seats up to six people, the second dining room seats up to fourteen people, the third dining room seats up to twenty four people and finally the fourth and largest dining room will seat up to 36 people.  Each dining room is available for private parties.  The dining rooms are all furnished to a high standard with antique furniture, with the tables furnished with antique silver cutlery, crisp white linen and antique cruet sets. 

Originally By Appointment was founded in 27 St Georges Street which was formally a post office.  Then in 1992 the partners purchased the premises next door which had up until the 1970's been a fish and chip shop;  25 St Georges Street was later purchased, this was formally the 'Cosy Cafe'.  At the front of 25 St Georges Street you will see the leaded lite saying 'Cosy Cafe', which is listed in it's own right.
